Patient-derived organoids give researchers the opportunity to explore the possibilities of personalized treatment.

This exploration often involves time-consuming imaging and analysis that provides a wealth of information but may be less practical for the initial screening of large numbers of compounds.

In this poster, we streamlined the process to rapidly identify compounds and used a cell viability assay to quantitatively analyze drug responses. We combined this with automated image analyses for the characterization of compound effects on organoid size and morphology and demonstrated the usefulness of an automated microplate reader-based ATP assay for rapidly gauging drug response in patient-derived organoids.
